Too many great local businesses go undiscovered. Not because they aren't excellent — but because they don't have the marketing budget of a national chain. LocalPlug levels the playing field.
We're building the go-to platform for discovering Black-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned, and minority-owned businesses in cities across America. When you find your LocalPlug, you're not just finding a business — you're investing in your community.
Why LocalPlug Exists
It started with a simple frustration: why is it so hard to find great local businesses? You know they're out there — the barber who's been cutting hair in the neighborhood for 20 years, the caterer who makes the best food you've ever tasted, the driving school that actually cares about your kid.
But they're buried under national chains and big-budget advertisers on every platform. LocalPlug was built to change that. We created a space where local businesses — especially those owned by people who've historically been overlooked — can be found, celebrated, and supported.
We launched in Cincinnati with four incredible Featured businesses and we're just getting started. Every city we expand to, every business we list, every deal and event we surface — it all adds up to stronger, more connected communities.

I've spent years watching incredible local businesses — many of them Black-owned, women-owned, and community-driven — struggle to get visibility while national chains dominate every search result. That's not right, and it's not the full picture of what our communities have to offer. LocalPlug is my answer to that problem. We're not just a directory — we're a movement to put local ownership front and center. I'm proud of what we're building, and I'm grateful you're here to be a part of it.
